A few days ago, we had the rumors swirling that the Free Disney Dining discount was coming this next week. Now, as the days of possible truth arrive…we have more rumors and this time they concern the actual availability dates of the promotion and which resorts will be included.
Once more, these are just rumors and nothing more until Disney officially announces free dining – if they do.
So, the first set of rumors have Free Disney Dining being made available for Disney Visa cardholders as of tomorrow, April 27, and for the general public on May 1, 2015 (possibly April 30).
Now, here are the rumored dates of availability:
- August 15 – October 2
- October 25 – October 31
- November 8 – November 19
- December 15 – December 21
Early in August this year, if these end up as true.
The rumored excluded resorts are:
- Little Mermaid rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- All-Star Movies Resort
- Port Orleans French Quarter
- Port Orleans Riverside (Excluded beginning Oct. 25)
- Polynesian Village Villas
- Grand Floridian Villas
- 3-bedroom Villas
- Campsites at Ft. Wilderness Campground
Looks like the norm here except that it seems like Port Orleans Riverside is included for the first round of dates, but then drops out.
In another strange note, there was a banner that appeared briefly on the Walt Disney World website on Sunday morning that detailed plans of free dining, but it was quickly removed. In that banner, it said that “Park Hopper” tickets would be a necessary condition for getting the discount. We shall see.
Again, these are strictly Free Disney Dining rumors at this point and we will know more by tomorrow, should it be released for Disney Visa cardholders. If and when Disney officially announces the confirmed dates, exclusions, and the like…Doctor Disney will have all of that as well.
