Two major dining locations at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs will be closing for very long refurbishments in early 2016. Both Fulton’s Crab House and Planet Hollywood won’t be available for Guests to dine at, for at least four months each.
Beginning on Jan. 1, 2016, both restaurants will be closing for refurbishment.
Fulton’s Crab House is scheduled to remain closed through Apr. 1, 2016, and that means it is tentatively scheduled to reopen to Guests on Apr. 2, 2016.
As for Planet Hollywood, it is going to stay closed through June 1, 2016, and it is tentatively scheduled to reopen to Guests on June 2, 2016.
For those that love dining at either Fulton’s or Planet Hollywood, you may have to wait until next time. No real word on what is going on with these two locations, but with all the Disney Springs changes happening…the refurbishments aren’t surprising.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.

Planet Hollywood is turning into Planet Hollywood at the Observatory. That is why it’s closed for nearly 6 months. Guests will enter from the bottom instead of going up those ridiculous stairs. It will have a brick facade and look much nicer and fit in with the Disney Springs look and feel. It’s going to be a major improvement.
Thanks for the insight Ethan! We heard rumors that PH was closing around about a year ago. Glad to hear its sticking around!
Did they postpone this? I have a reservation for mid-January and it looks like reservations are available throughout the month
Fulton’s refurb was put on hold for the time being.
