For those heading to Walt Disney World this fall, you may have to do without that leisurely ride around the Magic Kingdom. The Walt Disney World Railroad will be undergoing a rather lengthy refurbishment and will be out of commission for a while.
That’s right, beginning on Sept. 28, 2015, the Walt Disney World Railroad will be closing down for refurbishment.
It is currently scheduled to be shut down through Nov. 5, 2015, and that means it is tentatively scheduled to reopen to Guests on Nov. 6, 2015.
No word yet on what is being done to it, but it’s quite common for the railroad to have lengthy refurbishments each year to keep it running smoothly.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
