Disney’s Hollywood Studios has officially lost Star Wars Weekends as we recently found out, but Season Of The Force is coming soon. Not only has a start date been announced, but some major details as well and it’s going to be quite awesome.
It was rumored that it would begin in early January, and that’s exactly what will happen. Starting on Jan. 5, 2016, Season Of The Force will start at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it’s going to include a lot of awesome happenings.
One will be “Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular” which will be a fireworks display to finish off each night of the weekend – Friday, Saturday, Sunday. As has been seen in years past for different occasions, it will be set to music from the Star Wars saga.
There will be a dessert party premium package for Guests to take part in and purchase as well. Throughout, there will be special drinks and food items inspired by Star Wars as well as great souvenirs and Stormtroopers keeping “peace” in the park.
Making things better is that there is no end date yet confirmed for Season Of The Force. Hopefully, that means things will be going for quite some time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as Star Wars Land (working title) is being built.
Don’t forget that Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is getting a new scene (which has already begun) from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
Also, there is Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, which will open in early December. This reimagined Jedi Training experience will take younglings to the secret site of an ancient Jedi temple where they will face Darth Vader along with the Seventh Sister – a new villain from the Disney XD series “Star Wars Rebels.”
Now, there are also many details being released on Stars Wars Launch Bay which will opening in the old Magic of Disney Animation building sometime in December. Disneyland’s version in Tomorrowland just opened on Monday.
Guests will be able to meet-and-greet with both Darth Vader and/or Chewbacca in areas that are wonderfully themed for both of them. Be prepared for some long lines…especially at opening.
There will be a Star Wars Game Hub for Guests to play video games dealing with the saga, including Disney Infinity 3.0.
Go behind the scenes in the Launch Bay Theater to find out info from some of the great minds who were behind the making of the films in the franchise.
There will also be different galleries spread throughout the Star Wars Launch Bay showing scenes from the movies and dedicated to different portions of them as well. Look at the ships and characters of the films as well as replicas of props that are very well known.
New merchandise from Star Wars will be available in the Launch Bay Cargo store of the Launch Bay including plush, pins, artwork, and so much more.
Star Wars is coming in full…..force….a-hem, and Season of the Force is almost upon us. Prepare for a lot of fun as Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ makeover continues.
