Disney Confirms Permanent Closings Of Numerous Attractions, Stores At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

It is 100 percent confirmed and known that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is going to undergo a lot of changes over the course of the next four to five year. The expansion is to include a Star Wars-themed land and Toy Story Land, but it also includes the closings of numerous attractions and shops. Now, Disney has officially confirmed them.

Yes, it was known and confirmed that Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show Spectacular would be closing after Apr. 2, 2016.

After that news was released, it became known that a lot of other locations in the Streets of America area would also soon be gone. Multiple reports have confirmed it and Disney had advised Cast Members of the changes coming.

Yes, The Writer’s Stop is going to be closing.

As of today, a number of other attractions and locations at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are confirmed to be going away. On the official Walt Disney World Refurbishment list, Disney has now added these locations to be closing permanently as of Apr. 3, 2016:

  • Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure
  • Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt show
  • Meet & Greet: Mike and Sulley at Streets of America
  • Prop Shop
  • Studio Catering Co.
  • The Writer’s Stop
  • Watto’s Grotto

It is not known if any of these attractions or locations will reopen somewhere else in the future, but as of now, Disney does state they are “closing permanently.”

Still no official word or date on the removal of the Earful Tower.
