For quite some time now, there has been a rumor of The Muppets getting another attraction or area of some sort in Walt Disney World. They now have Muppet’s Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but the rumor of them heading to Magic Kingdom is heating up again.
According to WDWNT, there is the possibility that The Muppets are heading to Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom for an interactive attraction with Guests.
The rumor states that The Muppets will be appearing in the second story windows of the Heritage House in Liberty Square to teach and interact with Guests about U.S. history. They will talk back and forth with Guests while bringing about great moments in the history of the country.
It should be expected that Sam the Eagle is primed and at liberty (pardon the pun) to lead this new attraction.
This is a rumor that has been around in some form or fashion for a long time now but never come to reality. The Heritage House had been home to a merchandise location, FASTPass+ kiosk location, and even temporarily for a Princess Tiana meet-and-greet.
As of now, Disney has said absolutely nothing regarding this new attraction with The Muppets. It should be taken as a rumor as of now until something is said publicly by Disney or testing/opening commences.
