After 17 years in place, there has been a major change to Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith, but it’s one that some people may not even notice. Yes, Steven Tyler’s “obscene gesture” has been digitally edited out.
Some may not have any idea that the obscene gesture even existed, but a lot of people knew it was there and it kind of just became unnoticeable after a while. If you’ve seen it before, then you know what it is so no need to go into the actual name or a description of it here.
Well, after 17 years of the gesture being included in the pre-show of Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster, Disney has finally decided to edit it out.
Here is how it now looks:

For those wondering, here is how it used to look:
Maybe he never actually meant anything by it and maybe he was just holding up his hand and it’s how things happened. Perhaps, he wasn’t trying to throw up an obscene gesture, but he did and it has been there for 17 years.
A lot of people may never notice it or care, but a lot have already asked me about it. This is not going to change anything about the rest of the queue line or the attraction itself so you can still go ahead and enjoy without those three seconds.
