For everyone that listened to the first episode of “The Doctor Disney Podcast,” let us first say thank you very much. It’s time for this week’s episode and it is a topic that many have often wondered about, and that is when is it appropriate to bring your kids to Disney?

We got a much bigger reception than we ever expected last week and we owe that all to our listeners, but we’re only just beginning. This week, we’re all back together to discuss a topic that so many people have asked us about and discussed online.

So many want to bring their children to Walt Disney World or Disneyland or even on a Disney Cruise, but what is the “right age” to do that? Is there even a correct answer for that question?

Stacey, Karen, Jeff, and I decided to touch on that topic, and honestly, it’s quite as we expected – different answers, different thoughts, and different memories. Not only do we give our opinions on when children are the right age for a Disney vacation, but we also reflect on some of the earliest memories we have from our trips.

  1. We took our kids to Disney World for the first time when they were 4 and 2. That was a year and a half ago and they still talk about the characters, rides, wishes show, etc. We are planning another trip next year, and I can’t wait until they experience Disney in a different way. Likes and interests change, so they will be able to experience it differently. It’s a lot of money, but I want to give my kids experiences that they will enjoy. We aren’t guaranteed anything in life, so take the trip!
