Mickey’s Backyard BBQ Now Offering Different Category Seating Options With Early Character Access

There are some great dining experiences over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and now, the seating arrangements are changing for one of them. When you go to book Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, make sure you know where to sit.

Here is the map so you can see where the different categories sit for Mickey’s Backyard BBQ:

As you can see, Category 1 does give preferred seating and viewing, but there are other advantages as well. Category 1 seating also has the perks of:

  • Early access to the Backyard Pavilion
  • Priority seating that gets you closer to the experience
  • A Character Greeting with Mickey and pals prior to the show
  • Plus, early access to all food and beverages

The price difference is minimal, and it seems as if it would be well worth it.

Category 1

  • Adult (10+): $72
  • Child (3-9): $47

Category 2

  • Adult (10+): $62
  • Child (3-9): $37

Don’t forget that Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is a Disney dining reservation that you must pre-pay for when booking or you can hold it with two table-service credits on your Disney Dining Plan. Both categories are two credits as there is no change there.

  1. We made reservations months ago… How does that effect us? Thank you

    • I’m finding from different discussions on FB that all of us with previously existing reservations were automatically stuck in category 2. :/
