Show #4: A Disneyland Trip Report And What’s Happening With All The Nighttime Parades?

Last week, we heard from Karen about her most recent trip to Walt Disney World, and this week, it is time for Stacey and myself to talk about our recent trip to Disneyland. Oh, and while we’re at it…we also decided to discuss a most pressing issue and that involves what’s happening with all the nighttime parades on episode #4 of “The Doctor Disney Podcast.”

Paint the Night Disneyland Podcast #4

While we do love Walt Disney World, there is a special place in our heart for Disneyland as it is the original, and it’s so incredibly different. A lot of people may not realize this as there were so many people who thought, “Well…I don’t have to go to both since WDW and Disneyland are pretty much the same, right?” There are so many differences and if you haven’t checked out DLR with Blue Bayou, Flo’s Cafe, Critter Country, Radiator Springs Racers, and more…you’re missing out.

During our short stay in California last week, we were able to see the amazing Paint the Night Parade and the Disneyland Forever Fireworks one more time before the 60th celebration ends next week. Paint the Night will return to Disneyland on select nights during the holidays, but what’s happening with it after that?

Also, what is going on at Walt Disney World with the Main Street Electrical Parade having its final Magic Kingdom run on Oct. 9? We take these things in to account on this week’s edition of “The Doctor Disney Podcast,” and give our wishes for could happen while also speculating what could end up happening with the parades.

It was great being able to speak with Karen and Jeff about all that’s going on at Disneyland and with the parades, and it was interesting considering Stacey and I are at sea on the Disney Wonder. Our Internet service held out so we could record this week’s show. It’s the two-week Panama Canal sailing and the last one on this ship before it gets a face-lift in dry dock.

It’s also the final ship to sail through the old Panama Canal locks and that’s making some history. Jeff, Karen, Stacey, and myself never stop talking Disney, though, and we’d love to know what you think is going to happen with the nighttime parades between Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

  1. I have listened to Disney podcasts in the past and without being super negative, they loved Disney but we’re not always experts. Some were picky, picky eaters who never ate anything but a hamburger while they were there so could not recommend restaurants. One podcaster had never seen Festival of the Lion King! So it is so refreshing to listen to people who love Disney but are also experts and have meaningful things to share. On your last podcast you mentioned how much you love the meals plan. We have paid for it in the past but then were led to believe ( by these so-called podcasters) that it is not a good deal, in fact, a big waste of money. Could you address on a future show why you love and meals plan and whether or not it is a good deal? Thanks for your help
