Disney’s Live-Action Version Of ‘Aladdin’ Has Found A Very Interesting Director

The live-action versions of Disney’s animated classics are continuing on with more coming out seemingly by the day. Now, it’s known that there will be a live-action remake of Aladdin, but a unique director was just chosen and it has some scratching their heads.

Guy Ritchie is stepping behind the camera for the film which does not yet have any actors on board. Some are confused by the choice of directors with films such as Sherlock Holmes, RocknRolla, and Snatch on his resume, but he’s certainly qualified.

John August wrote the script for the live-action Aladdin which is said to include many of the musical elements from the animated original. There will be a new take on the film, though, and not many details have been revealed as of yet.

A lot of fans are wondering how the live-action version of The Genie will come about and how viewers will take to the character so closely related to the late Robin Williams.
