Starting today, Walt Disney World is testing a series of virtual queue lines at their water parks – Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.
The virtual queue system test is going to run over a series of a little more than a week with it beginning today, March 28, and running through April 7, 2017.
This system is very much like FASTPass+, but not exactly. At the water parks, Guests will not be able to make reservations in advance of their visit and the virtual queue is not digital. Essentially, you’ll head to the standby line and get a return time and be notified when it is time to come back.
Attractions offering the virtual queue line at Typhoon Lagoon:
At Blizzard Beach:
- Slush Gusher
- Downhill Double Dipper
- Summit Plummet
This is a system very similar to the one that Universal Orlando is going to use at its Volcano Bay water park which opens in May.

All Disney parks should have this system! Disney should like it because its guests would spend more time shopping and eating in their parks, verses standing in lines! Sounds like a win-win!
