Many have been waiting and now, we at least know one half of the Walt Disney World water park refurbishment schedule. Blizzard Beach will be going first this time around and the park is set to close in October for more than two months.
While not yet listed on Disney’s official refurbishment calendar, Blizzard Beach will indeed be closed beginning on Oct. 30, 2017. It will be closed for more than two months through Jan. 6, 2018.
Blizzard Beach is tentatively scheduled to reopen to all Guests on Jan. 7, 2018.
The annual refurbishment for Typhoon Lagoon is not yet known, but it is expected to start right after the one for Blizzard Beach. That closure usually runs into mid-late March.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
