BaseLine Tap House Opening At Disney’s Hollywood Studios In Brand New Grand Avenue Section

Some of the remaining parts of the Streets of America at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be put to good use as the brand new Grand Avenue section of the park. Along with that, the old Writer’s Stop is turning into the BaseLine Tap House and it will open this fall.

Capturing the spirit of present-day Downtown Los Angeles, the Grand Avenue section of the park will showcase different vintage buildings and warehouses to showcase the city’s cultures and districts. Using some of the old Streets of America buildings, guests will not only be able to walk around, but they’ll also be able to quench their hunger and thirst.

The BaseLine Tap House will open in the old Writer’s Stop location in the fall per the Disney Parks Blog.

In a quaint brick building, BaseLine Tap House celebrates the revitalization of Downtown Los Angeles by paying homage to the building’s former life as the Figueroa Printing Company, a mom-and-pop print house that had ties to the Disney studios in nearby Burbank. The space retains many of its cool architectural and mechanical details with exposed walls and old printing equipment and artifacts, blending the past and present in an inviting space. Outside is a charming tree-shaded terrace, perfect for a relaxing break in the day.

California craft ales, lagers and cider are the stars of the drink menu. California wines on tap along with specialty cocktails are not to be missed either. A gourmet non-alcoholic lemonade and soda on tap round out the drink selection.

Disney reports that there will also be “small bites” with a Bavarian pretzel with mustard and beer-cheese fondue, spiced almonds, and even a charcuterie board with a selection of California cheeses.

For now, there is still no exact opening date other than “fall” of this year, but the BaseLine Tap House will open daily at 11 a.m.
