People have done many stupid things while at the Walt Disney World Resort in the past, but this latest is one of the dumbest. Disney’s Contemporary Resort ended up on a temporary lockdown after a YouTube “star” drunkenly reported a “shooter” on site…only, it was nothing but an experiment.
Dillon Burch is a 22-year-old man from Arizona who was arrested last week after he told guests at the Contemporary Resort that there was an active shooter. After telling them that, he let them know it was all fake and he only wanted to record their reactions to post them on YouTube.
Said to be “highly intoxicated,” Burch told guests at the Contemporary that they needed to evacuate due to an active shooter at the resort. This took place shortly after midnight last Monday, and Burch caused a “significant disturbance” which caused the resort hotel to go on lockdown.
It may be needless to say, but Burch ended up being arrested.

Burch tried to defend his actions by saying it was an “experiment” and for a “school project.”
After the police were called and arrived on scene at the Contemporary Resort, officers found him hiding in some bushes. He was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace and disorderly intoxication before being taken to the Orange County Jail.
