The second season of the new American Idol on ABC is getting ready to come around and that means…auditions. Walt Disney World is going to be the first stop on the bus tour for the 2018-2019 season and here is everything you need to know.
It all begins on Aug. 25, 2018, when the American Idol bus heads out to start at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World. From there, it will set out on a tour of more than 20 cities as it looks to find the next big singing sensation.
Maggie Poppe, the winner of season one of ABC’s American Idol, and runner-up Caleb Lee Hutchinson and finalist Catie Turner will make special appearances during the singing auditions.
Disney is encouraging those looking to audition to show up early as they are expecting large crowds. Parking is going to be available at the ESPN WWOS beginning as early as 4 a.m., but not before that time. Registration is set to begin at 7 a.m. with auditions starting at 9 a.m.
Disney will not allow overnight camping to anyone and celebrity judges will not be on site.
If you happen to miss out on the American Idol auditions in Walt Disney World, don’t worry. You will have plenty of other opportunities.
