One of the greatest events of the year is returning in 2019 to the Anaheim Convention Center in California and it is the D23 Expo. On Thursday, Disney released a lot of information about next year’s event and it already looks like it is going to be quite fantastic yet again.
First of all, tickets are set to go on sale on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, and there will be different price levels for D23 members and non-members. The D23 Expo 2019 is going to take place on the dates of Aug. 23-25, 2019.

Some of the merchandise has already been revealed and it shows the same logo that is featured on the poster for D23 Expo 2019.
Expected for next year’s big event will be the Disney Parks & Resorts panel, the live films panel, the animated films panel, and the Disney Legends ceremony. These four are the most popular events of the entire weekend, but there is so much more.
Guests will be able to enjoy numerous presentations, see dozens of celebrities, enjoy parades through the showroom floor, and so much more. The Mousequerade costume contest will also return as Ashley Eckstein and Yvette Nicole Brown are coming back as judges.
Also, the D23 Expo 2019 Design Challenge is going to have a theme that thrills me to no end as it is the Haunted Mansion.
In honor of the Haunted Mansion celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, guests can create anything from a painting to a sculpture to any kind of artwork that is themed after the famous attraction. After some of the judging is done, there will be 23 fan pieces on display at the D23 Expo 2019 and one piece will end up winning a grand prize of $2300.
More details will arrive in the coming months, but if you’re thinking of going…just go. We will be there next year to cover the entire event and bring all the sights, sounds, news, and announcements to you from the D23 Expo.
