There are reports going around that Rafiki’s Planet Watch will soon be closing at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and according to info we’ve received from Cast Members, it is indeed coming soon.

As things currently stand, the meet-and-greets for Rafiki and Doc McStuffins will have their final day as Sept. 29, 2018. Rafiki’s Planet Watch as a whole is set to have its final day of operation on Oct. 21, 2018.

By Oct. 22, 2018, Rafiki’s Planet Watch is set to be closed forever.

This does include the Wildlife Express Train and other experiences in the building. The animals in Rafiki’s Planet Watch will be relocated around Walt Disney World while the veterinary technicians and services will continue.

Please remember that Disney has not yet made this official announcement. That being said, anything is possible to happen as dates could change or a closure for Rafiki’s Planet Watch may not happen at all.

All we can do is wait and see, but if you’re heading to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you may want to get in one of two more visits in the next month.
