Even though Disney’s Animal Kingdom changed to become a nighttime park as well as one that can be enjoyed during the day, some things are now changing. The park is still scheduled to be open until 8 p.m. on most nights, but some attractions will not be operating fully during that time.
Kilimanjaro Safaris
Beginning today (October 15, 2018), Kilimanjaro Safaris is moving to a closing time of 7:45 p.m. On October 28, it will move to a closing time of 7:30 p.m. for about a week before moving to a closing time of 6:30 p.m. once Daylight Saving Time arrives on November 4, 2018.
On November 25, Safaris will begin closing at 6:15 p.m. until December 30, when it switches back to 6:30 p.m.
Kali River Rapids
Kali will not be opening right as Disney’s Animal Kingdom opens, but it will begin operating at 9:30 a.m. and it will close at 7:30 p.m.
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail will also open at 9:30 a.m. which is after park opening, and it will close at 4:30 p.m.
Maharajah Jungle Trek
In a similar fashion, the Maharajah Jungle Trek will open at 10 a.m. and cease daily operations at 5 p.m.
It is not known how long Disney’s Animal Kingdom will keep these attractions operating on reduced hours.
