It is one of the biggest movies in Disney history, and there is a very good chance that the sequel to Frozen is going to be just as big or even bigger. Now, fans won’t have to wait as long to see it as the release date has been changed for the movie hitting theaters next year.
Last year, Disney revealed the release date for Frozen 2 (not actual title), and it was set for November 29, 2019. The film was going to take us right into the Christmas holidays with a little cold weather.
It still is going to do that, but now, it will be a week earlier. Disney has officially changed the release date for the Frozen sequel to November 22, 2019.
Some may wonder why this was done, but it’s actually a smart move on Disney’s part. Star Wars Episode IX is opening on December 20, 2019, and this extra week will give Frozen 2 more of a chance to succeed on its own before the galaxy descends upon it.
