Yes, Slinky Dog Dash officially opened on June 30, 2018, but there has already been a major change to the attraction. While the change won’t necessarily affect the experience for the guests, it is rather different.

As of the morning of Thursday, January 3, 2019, the tails on every single train had been removed. This is said to be a temporary thing and that it is being done for safety adjustments.

It’s not yet known what the adjustments will be or the exact reason that the tails were removed, but it is said to have been for safety reasons.
