Avengers: Endgame is still two-and-a-half months away from hitting theaters, but there is still some work to do. Marvel Studios is still editing and cutting things down, but there may be a lot of things left to accomplish as the film is still clocking in at around three hours.
During Super Bowl LIII this past Sunday, a new TV spot debuted for Avengers: Endgame. It was rather short, but it incorporated virtually all new footage and revealed that some time will indeed pass between Inifinity War and the fourth film.
Guess it’s easy to have new footage in your trailers, though, when your movie is running around 180 minutes in length.
Recently, the Russo brothers spoke of early test screenings and how things are going for Avengers: Endgame before its release. They had said that in the first three screenings, “not a single person got up to go to the bathroom.”
With Endgame sitting at around 20 minutes longer than Infinity War, that would make it the longest movie yet in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Joe Russo says that Marvel Studios and Disney are simply wanting the best possible story.
Avengers: Endgame opens April 26, 2019, and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Don Cheadle, Karen Gillan, and Brie Larson.
