Sad news out of Walt Disney World today as a man was killed after falling at a construction site behind Epcot.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that the man, who was only described as a “worker,” fell in an industrial accident on a site behind the France pavilion of Epcot. The incident occurred around 5:14 p.m.
Reedy Creek firefighters responded to the accident and pronounced the man dead at the scene. The man has not yet been identified and a preliminary investigation indicates that there was no foul play involved in the death at Epcot.
As of this time, there are no further details and Walt Disney World has not yet released a statement regarding the situation.
While it is known that the France pavilion has been the location of construction on the new Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction, it is not known if this was the site of the accident.
