Just as we learned of the new stricter and more enforced stroller rules the other day, The Walt Disney Company is cracking down on others. Beginning on May 1, 2019, Walt Disney World and Disneyland will ban smoking entirely in its theme parks and some other resort areas.
As of May 1, 2019, smoking areas will no longer exist in some places and smoking will not be allowed in:
- Walt Disney World theme parks
- Disneyland parks
- Water parks
- Downtown Disney (Disneyland Resort)
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
There will designated smoking areas outside of the entrances of these locations as well as Disney Springs (Walt Disney World Resort). There will still be designated smoking areas at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort hotels.
Smoking areas in the parks have dwindled down for a while now, and it seemed only a matter of time until smoking was entirely ruled out. While there will be designated areas outside of the parks, inside of them, the rule will be enforced.
