As we all have learned, Disney*Pixar is moving on from sequels after Toy Story 4 and will be moving onto original films for a while. The first teaser trailer for Pixar’s Onward was released tonight during the NBA Finals and it’s time to see if this world still has some magic left in it.
Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) take the lead roles by voicing two brothers. Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld, VEEP) will provide the voice of their mother while Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures, Ma) will also star in the film, and more voice talents will be announced in the future.
The story in Onward has a suburban fantasy world which features two brothers who are teenage elves. Together, they set out on a quest to find out if there is any kind of magic left in the world and if it can be spread to others.
Pixar’s Onward hits theaters on March 6, 2020.
