San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone for 2019 and well, Marvel Studios simply blew the doors off of Hall H. After the tragic and amazing events of Avengers: Endgame, we finally have the release schedule for the entirety of Phase 4 and even the beginning of Phase 5.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and many others were on hand to make some incredible announcements that give fans a lot to look forward to in the future. Not only will there be more movies in the MCU, but a lot of original series which will air on the Disney+ streaming service.
Here is the schedule that Marvel released for Phase 4:
- May 1, 2020: Black Widow
- Fall, 2020: The Falcon and Winter Soldier – Disney+
- Nov. 6, 2020: The Eternals
- Feb. 12, 2021: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
- Spring, 2021: WandaVision – Disney+
- May 7, 2021: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Spring, 2021: Loki – Disney+
- Summer, 2021: What If…? – Disney+
- Fall, 2021: Hawkeye – Disney+
- Nov. 5, 2021: Thor 4: Love and Thunder
While some of the different casts were revealed for the films and shows, there was not a lot of info otherwise. Now, we did find out that the Black Widow prequel will take place shortly after the events of Captain America: Civil War.
Natalie Portman is returning for Thor 4: Love and Thunder was introduced as “Lady Thor” at Comic-Con.
The Eternals is one of the new films and it will star Angelina Jolie. Shang-Chi is another new film which will have Simu Liu in the lead role.
Marvel Studios did have one more surprise announcement after all this big news and it was the beginning of Phase 5 which signals the return of Blade. There is no release date or info for the film, but Wesley Snipes is out as the vampire hunter and Mahersala Ali is in.
