In May, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opened in Disneyland and next week, it will come to life at Walt Disney World. With the opening in Disney’s Hollywood Studios around the corner, Disney has decided to give guests all the details needed on costume and attire guidelines for the new land.
While some of the details were already revealed earlier this year, Disney is needing to get the info out there all over again. Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios officially opens on August 29, 2019, and there are bound to be those who want to be in full costume for its debut.
Guests need to remember that those 13 and under are more than welcome to wear costumes when visiting Batuu just like in other Disney Parks.
This includes masks, as long as they provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with openings that allow the eyes to be fully seen.
Costumes and masks may not be worn by guests 14 and older (except when special event costume rules apply), so here are a few recommendations for other ways to be in style on Batuu.
Approved
Whether you’re a fan of the First Order, the Resistance, smugglers or even droids, you are welcome to wear outfits inspired by their looks. When it comes to the residents of this galaxy far, far away, they have a unique style that’s easy to replicate. If you want to fit in with the locals, stick to a color palette of muted earth tones and focus on natural materials with a rugged, handmade look.
Not Approved
There are First Order Stormtroopers patrolling Black Spire Outpost, so to avoid any mix-ups, guests should not wear armor or uniforms. Also, you’ll only see one Wookiee – Chewbacca – around the village, so no wook-alikes will be permitted.
Make sure to get in touch with My Mickey Vacation Travel so they can give you even more details and take all the stress out of planning to create the magic for you.
They will make sure to connect all the dots and get everything in order for your next Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or any Disney Destination vacation while saving you time, stress, and money.
