Not too long ago, we received the full Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even the start of Phase Five, but now, there’s more. At today’s movie panel during the D23 Expo, Marvel Studios and Disney revealed that Black Panther II is on the way and it will hit theaters in mid-2022.
Yes, Black Panther II is officially happening and it is going to hit theaters on May 6, 2022, as revealed today by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Ryan Coogler was also at the D23 Expo and announced he would be coming back to write and direct the sequel
After that, the duo introduce the logo and didn’t give much more than that. No further details were revealed, but many are expecting Chadwick Boseman back in the lead role along with the likely returns of Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, and possibly Lupita Nyong’o.
