With all of the changes happening at Epcot, things are coming in phases and now, it’s time for some character movement. As of Sunday, January 5, 2020, the Epcot Character Spot is officially closed which has led to Mickey, Daisy, Joy, and others moving around in the park.
The true Epcot Character Spot closed sometime back, but the temporary location officially closed this past weekend. With that, there are new locations for a number of characters
Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse has his own brand new location inside the Imagination pavilion at the entrance of the Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival. Mickey will be available daily from 9:00 A.M. until 8:30 P.M.
Minnie Mouse
If you enter to World Showcase and head toward the Mexico pavilion, you will find Minnie in the gazebo off to your left. She will be meeting guests in that spot daily from 9:00 A.M. until 8:30 P.M.
Daisy Duck
Daisy is in an interesting spot as she is currently meeting guests on the Future World East side near the entrance to the temporary MouseGear merchandise location. Daisy will be meeting guests daily from 9:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and again from 1:10 P.M. until 4:30 P.M.
Goofy
You can find Goofy meeting to the side of Spaceship Earth near the old Art of Disney merchandise location. He will be there daily from 9 A.M. until 8:30 P.M. with intermittent breaks, of course.
Joy
Over in the ImageWorks section of the Imagination pavilion is where you can now find Joy. She has her own set-up and is appearing daily from 9:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M.
Unfortunately, Sadness and Baymax are no longer meeting guests at Epcot and therefore, do not have a current meet-and-greet location anywhere at Walt Disney World.
As always, check the My Disney Experience app or an Epcot Times Guide for daily character information as things are always subject to change.
