Fans have been waiting for it and they knew it was coming sometime in 2020, but anything more specific was not yet known. It has now been revealed that season 2 of The Mandalorian will be coming to Disney Plus in October of 2020.
It may not be an exact date, but the window has now been trimmed down for when we’re getting more of The Mandalorian and The Child.
The announcement was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger during the first quarter earnings call for The Walt Disney Company on Tuesday. He did say that The Child has “taken the world by storm,” and promised more consumer products will be arriving in the coming months.
After season 2 of The Mandalorian, there could be more coming in the Star Wars galaxy. Iger hinted that spinoffs were a “possibility,” but nothing is set in stone just yet. More familiar Star Wars characters may show up, though, and could move onto their own series in the future.
