Fears of the Coronavirus threat have been running wild and with some good reason, but many locations are doing whatever possible to help the matter. California Governor Rick Newsome had put out an order against large gatherings, but he has now stated that Disneyland is exempt to that ban.

Disneyland along with other large theme parks, theaters, and casinos have been declared exempt from the Coronavirus threat ban on large group gatherings.

California public health officials have updated their originally released policy to state that “non-essential” gatherings such as sporting events, concerts, and conferences should be canceled or postponed until the end of March at the least.

Disneyland, Magic Mountain, and Universal Studios Hollywood are among the locations exempt from Newsome’s order against gatherings of 250+ people. Due to the “complexity of their unique circumstances” during the Coronavirus threat, there are not a part of the order.

The Disney Parks Blog has released a detailed statement from Chief Medical Officer Pamela Hymel MD as to how things are being handled at the Disney Parks. Additional measures have been put in place for the safety and health of all guests and Cast Members.

As of this time, there are NO scheduled closures for Disneyland or Walt Disney World.
