While some attractions are not reopening under the temporary restrictions at Walt Disney World, three are never coming back again. It has now been confirmed that Stitch’s Great Escape at Magic Kingdom along with Primeval Whirl and Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are permanently closed.
For quite a long while now, Stitch’s Great Escape has remain closed. The area has been used as a meet-and-greet for Stitch during some regular park days and the holiday parties.
Primeval Whirl has been a seasonal attraction over the last year or so. Rivers of Light did not reopen with the parks this past weekend, but it was initially thought that was simply due to social distancing measures for the auditorium.
Disney has confirmed that all three of those attractions are permanently done.
An internal memo has gone around to Cast Members at Walt Disney World explaining this situation. There has been no information regarding their replacements or when something will come in the future.
