Walt Disney World is bringing yet another new addition to the ever-evolving Disney Springs, that is a high-speed rail station from Brightline.
Already, Brightline is building a high-speed rail service that will take riders from South Florida to the Orlando International Airport (MCO). On Monday, an agreement was announced that will also have a station coming to Disney Springs.
“The design concept for the proposed station at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World includes a lobby on the ground level, passenger facilities and an upper level train platform,” Brightline said in a statement. “The proposed location would be in close proximity to Walt Disney World Resort’s four theme parks, two water parks and more than 25 hotels.”
While it is not yet known when construction will begin or end, it has been said that it will take 2-3 years to complete once started. The rail link being built from South Florida to Central Florida is targeting on a completion date sometime in 2022.
