Walt Disney World Resort hotels are having a change put in place, and it has to do with your refillable mugs. Little by little, the beverage refill stations at resort hotels are now going back to self-service instead of having to get your drinks from a Cast Member.
It was already in place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort as of Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort still had a Cast Member getting drinks for guests, but that may soon change.
Guests at Blizzard Beach have also been able to use self-service at the beverage refill stations since the park reopened over a month ago.
Walt Disney World has updated their health and safety guidelines on their website to reflect this change:
“Self-Serve Changes: Some self-serve beverage stations—which allow for Guests to fill and refill their own beverages—are available at select quick-service restaurants located in Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Resort hotels. Locations may vary.”
