The outdoor mask mandate is gone. Capacity is being increased around the parks. Temperature checks are gone and social distancing length is being cut. Now, Disney CEO Bob Chapek states that the Park Pass Reservation System and virtual queues are going to stick around.
The Disney Park Pass Reservation System is already in place at Walt Disney World until at least January of 2023. The reopening of Disneyland Resort has also put it in place after reopening nearly a month ago.
On Monday, Chapek spoke out during the J.P. Morgan Global Technology, Media, and Communications Conference, and he said it’s sticking around. Along with the Park Pass System, he also said that virtual queues are going nowhere and will become much more prominent in the parks.
Both systems helped guests stay safe during the reopening of the parks throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of course, anything is always possible to change. Still, Disney has seen enough advantages to both systems that will have them continue to operate into the future.

We really have no earthly idea what Walt Disney would or wouldn’t want since the majority of us never even knew the man. He wouldn’t even know what a park pass reservation system or virtual queue is…to know if he would want it or not.
