For the first time in nearly a year-and-a-half, guests will be able to enjoy the leisurely ride to EPCOT…via monorail. The EPCOT Monorail beam will officially reopen and become operational again on Sunday, July 18, 2021.
Cast Members were being called back to work for the beam over the course of the last week, but we never had an official restart day. Now, we know that Sunday will allow us to ride around World Showcase and Future World in style.
Disney has stated that the EPCOT Monorail beam will operate daily with service beginning one hour before park open and ending one hour after park close.
Due to the reopening of the EPCOT Monorail beam, direct bus service from select Walt Disney World Resort hotels to EPCOT will be discontinued:
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa – July 25, 2021
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort – July 25, 2021
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Sometime in mid-August
