We are now just a little over two months away from returning to the sea with Disney’s live-action version of The Little Mermaid. Now, we have a new look at the upcoming film and we are finally given a glimpse of Melissa McCarthy as Ursula.
The new teaser trailer if very short, but it does give some good looks at the background and scenery. Fans of the animated classic will see that it very closely resembles the Jodi Benson-starring iconic film.
Halle Berry will star as Ariel with Jonah Hauer-King taking on the role of Prince Eric. McCarthy is starring as the sea-witch Ursula. Watch through to the end of the trailer below.
The Little Mermaid hits theaters on May 26, 2023.
