Even though it won’t be exactly the same as having the old-school Disney Stores to go into at the mall, it’s a bit of nostalgia that we are happy to take.
Reports are now circulating and per Laughing Place, shipDisney will be dropping that name at some point later this month. The site will return to its original name of “Disney Store.” When this happens, it will officially take the website URLs from “shopDisney.com” to “DisneyStore.com” once again.
Even though Disney has yet to officially announce this change, the switch is reportedly happening on February 14, 2024.
ShopDisney officially came to be back in September of 2017 when physical Disney Stores were being renovated to become more modern-looking. It was soon after that those physical stores started closing permanently and all shopping went online.
Again, this is a report and has not been officially announced or confirmed by Disney, but we shall soon learn if the Disney Store is coming back. Well, kind of.
