With the parking mess happening over at Downtown Disney as it transforms into Disney Springs, there are a few changes coming about. One of those changes is the pricing of valet parking, and this is actually a good thing.
The valet parking on both sides – Downtown Disney Marketplace and Disney West Side – used to be a rate of $15, but now it’s going to be priced depending on how long guests stay.
~ If you stay two hours or less – $10
~ If you stay between 2-3 hours – $15
~ If you stay more than 3 hours – $20
This pricing is all set to go into place as of today, Sept. 1, 2014.
The recent parking entrance changes over on the Disney West Side have really made this necessary. The huge front portion of the parking lot in front of Cirque du Soleil is now fenced off and housing construction equipment for the parking garages.
Over on that side, the size of the valet parking has also been made a bit smaller since a lot of the free parking is now totally gone. On any given day this summer, you could see that the valet parking section was virtually empty.
The same can be said for the valet parking on the Downtown Disney side located in front of the World of Disney. Any given day, you can drive through that area and see that is’ usually quite deserted.
This new pricing system for the valet parking may make it better and have guests more inclined to use it.
Do you know if complimentary valet at DTD is still offered for TiW?
I personally haven’t used it in quite some time, but last time we did in May, it was complimentary with our receipt from dining with TiW. Make sure to ask upon checking your car just to be sure.
Do they charge for handicapped plates or hang tags?
Not at all resorts, but they do at DTD.
