Disney Christmas Parade Taping Dates Changed, Moved To Second Week of December

Disney Christmas Parade tapingSome time ago, it was thought that the dates of the Disney Christmas Parade taping in Walt Disney World would be the first Friday and Saturday of December as they usually are. Well, the dates have now been confirmed and they’re actually a bit later than originally thought.

The confirmed dates for the Disney Christmas Parade taping aka the Frozen Christmas Celebration will be Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, and Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014.

Yes, the dates are actually later than usual. Disneyland has already filmed their parts of the Disney Christmas Parade and those tapings happened last week. The parade is set to air at 10 a.m. EST/9 a.m. Central on ABC on Christmas morning.

Guests that are in the park on these days will be able to take part in the Disney Christmas Parade tapings, and a special ticket is not required. Also, Guests usually end up showing up as early as possible for these days and finding a spot to sit and wait and be a part of the taping.

There has not been an official performer or celebrity appearance list released by Disney yet, but it may end up coming soon.

  1. When do the parades usually happen on these days? As in if you find a spot to sit and wait, do you wait until 3 PM or does the parade happen earlier, more like 11-12?

    • The taping happens throughout the day beginning at park opening and then usually running through the afternoon. The parade doesn’t just run straight through in minutes or an hour as they do multiple takes, cuts, etc…
