With the work done on the Walt Disney World Monorail system, there is now some more and new work that needs to be done. There will be a reduction in operating hours for the Express Beam beginning next week and lasting until the summer.
Beginning on March 10, 2015, the operating hours of the Express Beam that runs between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation & Ticket Center will be reduced.
There is no set date for completion of this refurbishment, but it’s set to go through to Summer of 2015.
On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the Express Beam of the Monorail will be shutdown between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Resort and Epcot Beams will still be running during these down times.
Guests that arrive at the Transportation & Ticket Center during this Monorail downtime will be directed to the ferry boats to get to Magic Kingdom.
