Photo Tour Of Main Pool Now Open At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Many have been waiting a long time for it, and now the main pool at Disney’s Polynesian Resort is open and Guests are enjoying it. No longer called the Nanea Volcano Pool, the Lava Pool is open and looks great. Yes, there are a number of changes and many things are still under construction, but take a look at the pics below to see how things are going.

Please let it be known that there is now a fence around the Lava Pool and that means that Guests staying at the Polynesian must use their MagicBands or Cards to enter then poolside area. This does mean that the rumors of pool-hopping ending at the Poly are coming true. All of the entry locations are not electronically active yet, but they’re in place all the way around.

Also, you may notice that the surrounding pool fence no longer allows for the pool area and beach to be totally connected. Outside of the fence is a walkway. The slide is also not yet in use either.
