We Did A ‘Food Crawl’ At Pixar Pier In Disney California Adventure – Here Is What You Need To Try

This past week, we went out to the west coast with My Mickey Vacation Travel for an event at the Disneyland Resort that was fun, informative, and quite tasty. During our visit to DLR, we went into Disney California Adventure where Pixar Fest is still going on and did a food crawl through Pixar Pier.

Here are the results from our highly informative and investigative study.

During our time at Pixar Fest, we went around to the different locations on Pixar Pier to try all of the different foods that are now being offered. While most of these are set to outlast Pixar Fest – which has its last day on Sept. 3, 2018 – some may end up fading out of sight at that point too.

Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

Going to start this Pixar Pier food crawl off with one of the best things in all of the Disneyland Resort – The Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait. The non-dairy lemon soft-serve is layered through-and-through with blue-raspberry slush and it quite possibly one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had.

Guests will also be able to find plain lemon soft-serve and swirl it with chocolate or vanilla if they choose to do so. Trust me, this is one of the best new food locations and you’d better go early as after the mid-day sun hit, the line was always 30 people deep or more.

Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums

At the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums stand, there are three options for your tasting pleasure. The first and most obvious one is the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num itself which is a huge chocolate chip cookie that you may think is too much, but then, you eat it all.

It’s quite amazing and well worth trying once or twice or five times. Two other options are available with one being the Jack-Jack Shortbread Cookie which is quite tasty and also, it is very cute.

The third option available is the IncrediCookie which is a gluten-friendly blackberry jam-filled cookie. While it may be necessary for those who can’t have a lot of or any gluten, it ended up being my least favorite of the three.

Make sure your bites include parts of the cookie and jam at the same time for the best experience.

Señor Buzz Churros

While the Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait is phenomenal, it is the churro cart which has my favorite item on Pixar Pier. There are two options available with one being the Cinnamon Sugar Galaxy Churro which is the usual, but there are green space flecks on it which give a nice added touch.

The other option is the Caliente Churro which is absolutely phenomenal and one that I had multiple (five or six) of…during my time at Pixar Pier.

The Caliente Churro has a spicy taste to it, and it actually has a taste like Hot Tamales candies or Big Red gum, but even better. Can’t help but tell you that these are quite addictive and they are not too hot for those who can’t handle a lot of spice.

Poultry Palace

For something a little more savory and not as sweet, you can head on up to the Poultry Palace which…well, it’s shaped just like its to-go container. The three-piece Chicken Drumstick Box is available with some coleslaw and a couple BBQ sauce dippers.

Now, you are getting crispy chicken, but dont be fooled as it isn’t fried. Trust me, we asked how and that is some Disney magic for you.

Other options at Poultry Palace include the Jumbo Smoked Turkey Leg, chips, and two options of corn on the cob – buttered or chili-lime, both of which are excellent.

Angry Dogs

Over at Angry Dogs, you can try one or both of the hot dogs available…depending on your taste buds. There is the “Angry Dog” which comes served with a small bag of Hot Fries and the Slightly Annoyed Dog which doesn’t have as much spice and comes with potato chips.

While the Angry Dog isn’t overly spicy, it does have a bit of a kick to it. The main thing here will be the different sauces and toppings you can put on them…that will help make your hot dog from keeping it together to raging off the hook.

The hot dogs at Pixar Pier are pretty good and the sauces help a lot in making them different from your normal dog.

Oh, don’t forget to pick up a slice of Pixar Lemon Raspberry Cake which is available at multiple locations in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. If you’re sharing, try to get all of the blue layer first…it’s my favorite.

There is even more food to try over at the Lamplight Lounge on Pixar Pier, but that article is coming later this week to give you all those details and pics.

Make sure to get in touch with My Mickey Vacation Travel so they can give you even more details and take all the stress out of planning to create the magic for you.

They will make sure to connect all the dots and get everything in order for your next Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or any Disney Destination vacation while saving you time, stress, and money.
