For a short period of time, the Friendship Boat service at Walt Disney World was set to be totally unavailable to Epcot, but that has now been changed up a little. There will still be some hiccups in operation, but they won’t be down entirely.
UPDATE on Nov. 30, 2018 – 2:30 p.m. EST
So, it appears as if the Friendship Boat service between Epcot’s International Gateway and neighboring resorts will not be entirely suspended. Disney has announced that service will stop as of 9:30 p.m. each night through to late December.
It will be available during the day and once it ends each evening, the walkway and bus transportation will still be there for guests to use.

Due to the ongoing construction of the Disney Skyliner, there will be no Friendship Boat service to and from Epcot for a few weeks. It is set to begin on November 28, 2018, and the exact end date of the downtime is not yet known.
It is expected that the downtime will last at least a couple of weeks and the Friendship Boats will be in operation again sometime in early to mid-December 2018. The walkway to the Epcot resorts will still be open from International Gateway and there will be additional bus transportation at the front of the park.
Friendshp Boat service to and from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and to the nearby resorts will remain in normal operation at this time.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
