An iconic attraction is set to close later this year and it will make way for a brand new Marvel-themed ride. Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith is going to close at Disneyland Paris later in 2019, and now, we have a timeframe for its final wild ride.
As Disneyland Paris prepares for its new Marvel-themed land at Walt Disney Studios, some big changes will need to be made. That includes Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster which will completely changed to a new attraction featuring Iron Man and others from The Avengers.
It is now known that Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster is going to have its last day of operation in Walt Disney Studios Park on Sept. 1, 2019. That means that as of Sept. 2, 2019, the attraction will be closed for good and the Marvel overlay/changes will begin.
Before anyone asks, there is nothing said to happen to the Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World as of this time. Of course, anything can happen in the future, but as of this time, Steven Tyler and company are still zooming through the streets of Los Angeles.
Disney first announced the re-theming of this attraction at Disneyland Paris Resort at the D23 Expo Japan in 2018. The new Marvel-themed land will be completed in different phases with the first happening in 2021.
