There was very little doubt that Avengers: Endgame would break some box office records in its opening weekend, but no-one expected this.
Everyone knew that new records for the domestic box office and globally were coming, but this is something that is…much more than expected.
Avengers: Endgame brought forth an estimated $350 million at the domestic box office in its first three days. Globally? In its first five days of worldwide release, Marvel’s latest movie brought in $1.2 billion.
Final numbers are due out on Monday and it is expected that the domestic numbers could go up a bit. For some perspective, the opening weekend box office for Endgame is around $93 million more than the previous record which was set last year by Avengers: Infinity War.
