Earlier today, we reported that the Epcot Character Spot and some other locations would be closing as refurbishment work continues at the park. Now, there are other locations which will be closing as well and some of them being temporarily relocated.
Fountain of Nations and Pin Central
With the advancement and overall overhaul of Epcot, the Fountain of Nations is also going to be closing on September 8, 2019. The nearby Pin Central will also be closing as well with the old Camera Center becoming its new permanent home later this year.
MouseGear
The main merchandise location of Epcot will be closing at some point later this year, but an exact date is not yet known. It will receive a temporary home for a while as it undergoes a massive refurbishment.
Art of Disney
The Art of Disney merchandise location will be moving into Heritage Manor in the America pavilion of World Showcase. This will take place after its current location closes on September 8, 2019.
Electric Umbrella
Sometime “this winter,” the Electric Umbrella will be closing for a massive refurbishment in the same way that MouseGear is. Disney has stated there will be “new dining options” available in the future with a variety of food and beverage selections.
It could return as Electric Umbrella or an entirely new dining location. There has been no reopening date set as of yet, but it is expected to close on September 8, 2019.
Club Cool
An update on Club Cool is that its current location will be closing on September 8, 2019, as well, but it is said to be reopening in a new spot at a later date.
Please note that dates are subject to change and can without any notice. These dates are officially listed on Walt Disney World’s refurbishment schedule, but that does not mean they can’t possibly change.
