The Walt Disney Company has now officially announced that Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will be closing due to the threat of the Coronavirus.
On Thursday afternoon, the governor of California advised that Disneyland and other theme parks were exempt from the ban on large groups gathering, but the resort had other ideas. Still, the company decided to take their own measures in keeping the safety of guests and Cast Members.
Beginning on Saturday, March 14, 2020, both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will close and remain that way through the end of March. Downtown Disney is set to remain open, but the resort hotels will remain open only through March 16, 2020, so guests can make the necessary travel accommodations.

Bummed the park will be closed, but more than being bummed, I am Really Happy! to see Disneyland take a proactive stance against the spread of this virus. It just shows that they do care about their cast members and families of visitors. Thank you. And I look forward to the re-opening in April, for my 63rd birthday visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!!
