During the Disney Films presentation at the D23 Expo on Aug. 9, 2013, there was a small amount of details revealed about the upcoming 30-minute special set to hit ABC this fall and called…”Toy Story of Terror.”
It is going to air on Oct. 16, 2013, and the first 10 minutes were shown to attendees at D23. It is said to have been hilarious.
Even better is that the main “Toy Story” cast is back to head out on an adventure on a dark and stormy night. They end up at an old “Psycho”-esque motel while trying to get to Bonnie’s grandmother’s house, but one of the toys goes missing.
While trying to find their friend, everyone starts disappearing one by one. All together now:

“Toy Story of Terror” will bring back the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Timothy Dalton, Wallace Shawn, Don Rickles, and Kristen Schaal.
They will be joined by newcomers Carl Weathers, who voiced Combat Carl and Combat Carl Jr. Stephen Tobolowsky will voice a hotel clerk.
