The Yankee Trade merchandise location in Liberty Square and located right outside The Haunted Mansion in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is under serious construction. Giant refurbishment walls have been placed all along the outside of the building on the side facing the Rivers of America. A sign on the walls states, “The Yankee Trader is open while we refresh the exterior” with arrows pointing to the entrance in the walkway leading from Liberty Square to Fantasyland.
There is a lot of construction going on in the Fantasyland space where the old Skyway used to be. Word is that Disney is putting in new bathrooms to just another walkway to a meet-and-greet area for Rapunzel. Still, it’s obvious that there is a lot happening in this little area and the walls around The Yankee Trader are not hidden but huge and rather obvious.
